What Is a CHOLINE PET-CT SCAN?
An CHOLINE PET-CT scan uses a radiotracer which targets the activity of choline kinase enzyme in the body, indirectly looking at cell membrane metabolism. In this scan, a small amount of radioactive FDG is injected in the body and its distribution is seen in the body using the PET-CT scanner.
Please inform booking staff if you are, or think you could be, pregnant or are breastfeeding

What Are the Preparations for an FDG PET-CT SCAN?
Preparations for a CHOLINE PET-CT SCAN will depend on the reason the PET-CT SCAN is being done. Detailed individualized instructions for each patient are provided when scheduling for a PET-CT SCAN. There is usually no requirement for prolonged fasting.
